October in pictures…upon pictures! What a month. We took advantage of the weather and paused school for a few weeks to visit and host family, which filled us all up.
First my sister came from Georgia to spend a week here with her kids for a very cousin-y time. After a few days of recovery and packing, we drove to South Dakota where we saw my brother and did a little exploring in the Black Hills and the Badlands.
We were also able to spend some time in the Kansas countryside at my parent’s house where my dad gave me tons of pumpkins from his garden!
Levi got his first hair cut and K.K. played her first season of soccer, which sparked so much joy for her that I am sure a spring season is ahead of us.
Oh, did I mention it snowed already? There was an early winter storm in South Dakota that followed us home to KC. (Not to brag, but you may see us on the front page of the Rapid City Journal.) So I got over my uncertainty of driving in snow faster than I anticipated!
It was a wonderful month of just being together; I’m so ready for what November brings us next!
